We KNOW, What is good shopfront design!

The key principle is that a shopfront should respect the character of the building to which it is fitted and forms part. If the building is a historic building, the shopfront should ideally be restored to the original design. If a historic shopfront exists, it should be in good repair and be well maintained.

If the building is not historic, the shopfront should nevertheless respect the design principles that were adopted for the rest of the building. The shopfront is then seen as part of the architectural composition of the total building.
